Hear from the People We Support
Posted on Mandy NanceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Shine Disability services have been great. We get house cleaning and yard maintenance and are always happy with the service we get. The staff that do these services are always really friendly, arrive on time, and do a great job. Communication is really important to me and the Coordinator is brilliant with communicating any information that I need to know.Posted on Marcia MeyerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. FAQ
We support people on the Gold Coast with Assistance with Daily Life (personal care, household tasks), community participation, and capacity-building supports like life skills, all aligned to your plan goals and NDIS outcomes framework.
Yes. We follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (2024–25 v1.3), including price limits, claiming rules and any addenda. If you’re agency-managed, we must be a registered provider and stay within the applicable price limits.
We follow the NDIS short-notice cancellation rules: up to 7 days’ notice for most disability support worker (DSW) services, and typically 2 clear business days for non-DSW supports. Where appropriate, we may waive fees at our discretion, we’ll always be fair and transparent.
When travel is part of delivering your support and agreed in your Service Agreement, we can claim reasonable travel time (subject to NDIS time caps by area) and non-labour costs like kilometres (up to the NDIS benchmark per km) or tolls/parking. These are shown separately on invoices for clarity.
Absolutely. Agency-managed participants must use registered providers (like us) and price limits apply. Plan managers must ensure invoices are within price limits. Self-managed participants can use registered or unregistered providers and aren’t bound by price limits, but we still keep pricing clear and fair.
A plain-English summary of what we’ll deliver (and how/when), pricing, travel/cancellation terms, responsibilities, how to make changes, and dispute steps. We keep agreements simple, transparent, and aligned to NDIS rules, never adding conditions outside the Price Guide.
It’s our core promise: consistent workers (primary + backup), clear updates for you and your coordinator, and outcome-focused practice that respects your goals and culture. These are priority areas for Shine to tackle common sector pain points like inconsistency and poor communication.
